解析：我们首先审题，发现题干很有指向性，圈出关键词direct object，我们不妨来分析一波句子成分，谓语动词为told, 主语为Jamie, 有两个宾语，分别为his friend和the details，想到老师教大家的谐音梗，答案C一目了然。
真题二：
Read the sentence.
Juan gave a new coin to his friend for her collection. The coin was special because of a printing
error. Both sides of the coin looked the same.
What is the direct object of the verb “gave?”
A. friend
B. coin
C. her
D. collection
解析：我们读一读题干要求，要求找到gave的直接宾语，分析一下句子，发现题干确实有两个宾语，一个是coin，一个是his friend，脑海里想起老师教的那句话植物贱人，答案B自然而然就选出来了.
